School leadership is among the most stressful and challenging occupations. With constantly shifting demands, the role requires responsiveness to shifting cultural and societal norms with extreme agility. The professional, although a calling, can be isolating. Meeting the expectations held from all stakeholders can be trying. Many school leaders discover that the tasks of the role were not what they had envisioned when they originally set out on the path. I have been there!
